Almost 100 Riders Registered!

Happy New Year Everyone!

We're excited about 2021, and here at Moveable Feast, we're focused on our theme of New Year with New Hope.

Thank you to everyone who has already registered for Ride for the Feast, and a shout out to those who have already raised over $1,000! We have almost 100 riders registered, and we hope to double that number over those next few months.

If you're into setting goals for the new year, here's a couple ideas:

  • Recruit one new rider to Ride for the Feast or Move for the Feast.
  • Set your fundraising goal $100 higher than what you raised last year.

If you're a new or returning rider, we invite you to join us for a Virtual Ride for the Feast Social on January 27th (see below). Please feel free to invite others who may be interested in learning more about the Ride.

Ride, Run, or Walk with Move for the Feast

Did you know there was a new way to participate in Ride for the Feast? Even if you don't own a bike, you can be part of this event through our virtual option, Move for the Feast. Set a mileage goal to run, ride, or walk between April 1st and May 2nd and fundraise for Moveable Feast.

Fundraising Unicorns

Some members of Team Rebels with a Cause have started a #UnicornswithaCause fundraising effort. So far they've made a couple special dinner deliveries for Gertrude's wearing inflatable unicorn costumes.

This idea gained a lot of attention, and now the team is working with other local businesses to arrange for more special deliveries on Valentine's Day. All delivery fees are being donated to the team's fundraising page. The unicorns also provide cards with information about Moveable Feast and the link to donate to the team. Follow the unicorns on Instagram, using the hashtag #unicornswithacause.

Virtual Ride for the Feast Socials

We invite new riders and those interested in learning more about this year's Ride for the Feast to attend one of our Virtual Ride for the Feast socials. The first one takes place Wednesday, January 27th at 6pm. A second one is planned for the afternoon of March 20th.

Learn about the three different routes and the new option to participate virtually, Move for the Feast. Talk with veteran riders who would love to tell you why they participate year after year. Ask your questions and enjoy the camaraderie with fellow riders. To attend the January 27th event, please register before January 20th.
We'll email you the Zoom meeting link.

Volunteers Needed at Moveable Feast

Volunteering in the Moveable Feast kitchen is a great way to  show your community the importance of Ride for the Feast.

Shifts are currently available in January on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9am-1pm.

Due to COVID, there are only four slots available per shift and are only open to Volunteers who have previously worked in the kitchen.

Contact Volunteer Manager Angie Kelley for more information or to sign up to volunteer.

Event Sponsorships Available

Do you work for a company that wants to make an impact in the community? We have some great event sponsorship opportunities available for Ride for the Feast. Our sponsorship package offers various levels, or we will work with you to create customized sponsorship options that best fits your marketing needs. Please share this proposal packet, and contact Carin Prescott with questions.
