| With COVID-19 emergency food funds decreasing rapidly, over 300 Marylanders living at the intersection of food insecurity and serious chronic illness are currently on our food service waitlist. While many of our clients' meals are covered by insurance, government grants or foundation funds, or are eligible for government subsidies, there are hundreds who are uninsured or not eligible for government benefits, like SNAP. The funds raised through Ride for the Feast help serve this specific population of people with severely limited access to food that fortifies health.
