The Cost of Caregiving

And How We Help

An average of 20% of adults in the U.S. are informal, unpaid caregivers for loved ones. A caregiving role may include monitoring symptoms, transportation to appointments, grocery shopping, preparing meals, and more.

We know that caregiving is one way we support our loved ones, and Moveable Feast exists to be part of the support network for clients and their caregivers.

Moveable Feast's impact extends beyond our clients by providing supportive services such as home-delivered medically tailored meals, produce, supplements, and medical transportation. We even offer meals for dependents of clients and medical nutrition therapy to keep clients on track with their health goals. We often hear from caregivers of clients who let us know how much it matters for us to take one or two things off their plates so they can focus on their loved ones. Family members also often tell us that our services improve their quality of life when they know their loved one is receiving nourishing food. We're happy to meet that need!

Thanks to your support, we can meet the nutritional needs of thousands of Marylanders and alleviate the stress of individuals and communities facing the dual crisis of food insecurity and chronic illness.

Become a Pro: Utilize the Fundraising Toolkit

The RFTF Fundraising Toolkit informs riders on best practices, shares resources, and provides inspiration for your next fundraiser.

Ride for the Feast raises unrestricted funds that allow us to serve those with nowhere else to go for support.

In the fundraising toolkit, there is a link to our RFTF 2023 Social Media Toolkit, which includes text and photos you may use to support your fundraising efforts.
