Hi, Barbie!

Team Captain of the Biking Barbies, Julia, tells those still on the fence about particpating in RFTF to ride for friends, ride for fun, and ride for THE FEAST.

As a new rider this year and Team Captain of a new team, Julia tells us why she decided to participate in an event that helps.

"I’m very passionate about the goal and mission of Moveable Feast to deliver free meals to people throughout Maryland who need them most and so is my teammate and we are excited to raise money for a good cause while also challenging ourselves and building connections with other riders."

She also talks about the upcoming training rides:

"The training rides are definitely something I’m interested in. Something I’ve learned in the training process for other events is it’s more fun and easier if you do it with others so I’m very excited for those longer group rides to not only get in those training miles but also meet other people who are riding for the Feast."

Julia has some advice for people who may be wary of the fundraising goal:

"I’ve learned that when you’re really passionate about something, your friends and family can see that it’s important to you. They want to support you reaching your goal and to see you be successful."
